How to Make Processed Land Grand Decorations

These popular art candy decorations were made to create an amazing Candy State-themed house in Clairemont Mesa (San Diego). They're cheap to make and have multiple uses every bit they tin also exist used equally décor for Valentine's Twenty-four hour period parties, sweet 16 birthdays, Christmas copse, summertime campsite, vacation bible school, and as super fun photo props!

Hershey'southward Buss Yard Decorations

Supplies

  • White ribbon (1½ inches broad)
  • Blue acrylic craft paint
  • Flat tipped 1/8-inch paintbrush
  • Ane empty ii-liter plastic canteen (clean and dry)
  • Scissors
  • Tape
  • Aluminum foil

Directions

  1. Paint the word Hershey's on a 10-inch slice of ribbon. Permit to dry out.
  2. Using scissors (or an X-Acto pocketknife), cutting off the top portion of the canteen, about ane inch below the top of the label.
  3. Attach the dry ribbon to the cervix of the bottle with tape.
  4. Using a sixteen-inch piece of aluminum foil, wrap the canteen and printing to form a Hershey's Buss shape, allowing the ribbon to pop out of the pinnacle of the buss.

Giant Gumdrops K Decorations

Supplies

  • Round-bottom sand or care for pails (solid colors), clean and dry
  • Spray agglutinative
  • Large jar clear glitter
  • Acrylic spray glitter sealant (recommended if gumdrops volition be outside)

Directions

  1. If there's a handle on the pail, remove it.
  2. Turn the pail upside downward. Spray agglutinative on half of the pail and immediately sprinkle glitter liberally all over the adhesive. Repeat on the other side. Let to dry thoroughly.
  3. If the gumdrops volition be exterior, spray with acrylic glitter sealant.
  4. Notation: If the pails have faces (like jack-o-lanterns), just turn them toward the house so that passersby don't see the faces every bit they look at your yard.

Peppermint Processed Yard Decorations

Supplies

  • 2 paper soup bowls (for each candy you plan to make)
  • White craft glue
  • Acrylic craft pigment (ane or two colors of your choice; we used green and purple)
  • Paintbrushes
  • Ribbon in coordinating color
  • Clear cellophane
  • Clear tape

    Directions

  1. Glue the rims of two bowls together for each behemothic candy. Permit 24 hours to dry.

  3. One time "candies" are dry, cut off whatsoever excess rim.
  4. Starting from a dot in the center of the basin, paint stripes to the border, gradually getting a picayune wider. The candy looks best using only i or two colors. If using a 2d color, draw stripes of dissimilar sizes in alternating colors. See photo equally example.
  5. When dry out, turn the candy over and paint the opposite side the same style. Try to line upwards the colored lines at the rim.
  6. When both sides are dry, cutting an 18-inch piece of cellophane and wrap information technology around the candy every bit if wrapping a present, taping it downward to hold in place.
  7. Twist the cellophane at each end and tie with ribbon. Trim excess cellophane or ribbon.

Behemothic Lollipop K Decorations

Supplies

  • 2 bright, solid-color salad bowls (same colour) for each lollipop
  • White PVC pipage (3-5 feet long; i for each lollipop)
  • Crazy glue (or like potent adhesive)
  • Utility knife
  • Colorful sand pail (i for each lollipop)

Quikrete fast-drying cement mix
Option to sand pail and Quikrete: 24" piece of rebar for each lollipop

Directions

  1. Flip one bowl upside down and draw a circle the same diameter as the PVC pipe in the middle of the bowl. Heat the utility pocketknife over a flame and cut out the hole.
  2. Glue the rims of two matching bowls together with crazy glue. Apply crazy glue to 1 stop of the PVC pipe and slip through the hole until it touches the inside of the top basin. Dry upside downward for 12 hours.
  3. Accept someone hold the PVC pipe centered in a sand pail. Pour Quikrete into the pail, add water equally specified and allow to dry. This will give a stable support for the lollipop for any event (indoors or outdoors).
  4. Optional: Skip the pail and cement method, and *bulldoze a ½-inch bore, 24-inch piece of rebar into your one thousand (button downwardly eight inches). Slip the PVC lollipop stem over the peak.
